Shear Plough Mixer

APPLICATION:

For mixing and processing of Powders Granules with or without addition of liquids and pastes of low viscosities Used by the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food, Cosmetic, Confectionery, Mineral, Paints, Detergents, Dyestuff and Allied Industries.

DESCRIPTION:

Highly efficient mixer for super fast mixing of powders, granules with or without addition of liquids and pastes of low viscosities Used in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food and Coating Industries. The mixer consists of a cylindrical shell fitted with ploughs. The mixer creates a hurling and whirling three-dimensional effect. Lump breakers are installed at the bottom of the cylinder for breaking of lumps and agglomerates.

CONSTRUCTION:

The mixer consists of a fabricated mixing drum inside which a specially designed shaft fitted with ploughs rotate to create a hurling and whirling three-dimensional mixing effect. The shaft is installed in steel housings complete with roller bearings, gunmetal bushes, and gland packings for trouble free operations. High-speed choppers for breaking up and dispersing of lumps and agglomerates are fitted at the bottom of the mixers installed in steel housings. Each mixer is provided with a Feed port, Discharge valve, Inspection door, Vent opening, and one extra additive port.

DRIVE:

The mixer is driven by a 3ph, TEFC, 50 Hz electrical motor coupled to a worm reduction gearbox driving a set of V grooved pulleys. The drive is mounted on a sturdy base frame. On bigger machines, Chain and sprocket drives or geared drives are incorporated to handle heavy loads.

• HP of Lump breakers depends on characteristics of material.
• Working capacity is approx. 30-70% of total volumetric capacity calculated for material having bulk density of 1T/M.
